Lexus CT200h vs BMW i3

While South Africa (unfortunately) can’t practice competitive advertising, we can enjoy the steady stream of advertising from the US market where this form of competition bashing is common place.

In the ad we see a group of guys heading out on a road-trip for the friends Dad’chelor Party with half the guys going in a Lexus C200h and the other half in the new BMW i3. They are trying to convey the Lexus CT200h vs BMW i3. Which do you think will be the better vehicle in the advert?

What ensues is funny in the “The Hangover” sense but, you get the feeling that this type of product-bashing is a bit of low blow. Is it just me but wouldn’t you rather celebrate your own products positives rather than having to bash the competitions negatives? Seems a bit desperate to me.

Is it just me or does the BMW feature more screen time than the Lexus?
